Guido Di Salle is a Canadian mixed media artist working across photography, digital art, painting, and collage. Though best known for his photographs, his practice moves fluidly between disciplines, unified by one rule: make iconic imagery of cool people, places and things.

Women have been at the center of Di Salle's life and work from the beginning. He grew up in a house full of the 1980s fashion magazines his mother and sisters left laying around, absorbing the glossy excess of that era: supermodels, neon, analog grain. Those pages became his first visual education. A now-famous photo taken by his father circa 1983 shows a young Guido holding a Polaroid camera, an omen of what was to come. Years later, a Minolta gifted by his father would kick start his passion for creating images. In between, he spent over two decades as one of Canada's top hairdressers, a career built entirely around women, working in television, editorial, and fashion, studying beauty up close in every sense. That fluency shows in his instinct for gesture, styling, and the exact moment a subject drops their guard.

His art continues that lifelong dialogue. Candid, unguarded, and unapologetically bold, his images are often called provocative, sometimes controversial. He rejects the sanitized language of "the female form"; his subjects are not forms, they are people caught in moments of intimacy, confidence, and provocation.
